Chief Minister Minority Hostel Scheme

Brief Objective

Govt. will provide an assistance of Rs. 1000 per month to all the boys and girls studying and living in the hostels meant for minorities.

Benefits to the Citizens

Children belonging to minorities and studying in Class IX to XII by staying in minority hostels will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000. They are also provided with the facilities of cots, mattresses, sheets, table-chairs for reading, cooking utensils and kitchens etc. Every month, nine kg rice and six kg wheat will also be made available to the students.

Eligibility

1. Students belonging to Minorities and staying in minority welfare hostels of Bihar state.
2. Enrolled and living in hostels operated under Minority Welfare Department.
3. Studying in a recognized course.
4. Studying in recognized educational institutions.

How to apply

Minority Welfare Department will seek the student list from the Principal of the minority hostel in which the students stay.

Hostel in Chapra

Hazrat Shah Peer Nazar Minority Boys Hostel, Nabiganj, Chhapra has total number of beds/capacity 60. At present the total number of children accommodated is 20 as on dated 28.07.2023.

Chief Minister Student Promotion Scheme

Description

Under this scheme, an incentive amount of Rs. 10000.00 is given to the minority students who pass the first class from the Bihar School Examination Board. At present, while expanding the said scheme, minority Muslim girl students (Rs. 15000.00 per girl student), Bengali speaking students (Rs. 10000.00 per student) and Faukania passed minority students from Bihar Madarsa Education Board, Patna (Rs. 10000.00 per student) Incentive amount is being provided to minority girl students (Rs. 15000.00 per girl student) who have passed Maulvi.

Alpsankhyak Muslim Mahila Parityaqta/Talaqshuda hetu Sahayata Yojna

Description

Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance (Rs 25,000/-) to minority Muslim abandoned/divorced women to strengthen their economic status and make them self-reliant.
From the financial year 2017-18 to 2023-24, a total of 33 Muslim women have been benefited so far as on dated 28.07.2023

Mukhyamantari Alpsankhyak Rojgar rin yojna

Description

Under this scheme, the approval of loan from 1 lakh to 5 lakh is given by Bihar State Minorities Financial Corporation Limited, Patna to the interested applicant who takes loan. For which the advertisement is published from the department level and after scrutiny of applications at the district level, a list is prepared and sent to the department.
