The objective of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) is to improve irrigation in the country and make better use of water. Under this scheme, following works are carried out:

The motto of this scheme is ‘Water for every farm’.

Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana run by the Government of India, farmers are given Rs 6000 annually. This amount is given to farmers in three installments of Rs 2000 each. Its purpose is to strengthen marginal and small landholding farmers financially. Under this scheme, farmers are given Rs 6000 annually.

Through the portal, registered farmers of Bihar are given a thirteen-digit registration number, with the help of which farmers can avail the direct benefits of schemes of agriculture or other departments related to agriculture in their bank account linked to Aadhaar. This portal has been created by the Agriculture Department.
